Regional Safeguarding Officer
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Safeguarding Team; you will play a key role in continuously improving Safeguarding awareness and standards across British Tennis. You will also be responsible for providing high quality auditing and compliance checking of venues across your region, ensuring high safeguarding standards exist across the sport.
You’ll have a solid background in a Safeguarding role with considerable experience of implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of safeguarding policies and procedures as well as investigating cases. Prioritisation will be key to ensure that you can juggle the variety of demands this role brings. You will be passionate about safeguarding and be able to deliver informative training sessions to a diverse group of people. Establishing rapport and trust will be essential to be effective in this role as well has a high level of confidentiality to investigate and manage cases effectively.
About the team:
British tennis aims to get more people playing tennis more often. In order to achieve this, it must grow as a safe and inclusive sport. As part of the Safeguarding Team, the Regional Safeguarding Officers will play a key role in taking a pro-active approach to safeguarding.

North Region –Northumberland, Yorkshire and Cumbria, Lancashire, Durham, Cheshire and Isle of Man
This is a mobile role, therefore you will be aligned to the North region spending time visiting our venues as well as making use of our regional offices when needed. Given this is a mobile role you will need to be able to accommodate a flexible working pattern (evenings and weekends may be required) to meet business needs.
