COVID-19 Support for Schools
TIB (Trust in Blue) need competent DIYers to help local schools to re-open and get back on track.
We help local schools when their own site team are unwell, isolating or absent for any reason. Due to COVID-19 coronavirus there are a large number of caretakers who are unable to attend their normal jobs, leaving many schools in serious difficulty. Work is available on either a casual worker ("zero hours") contract or as a self employed subcontractor.
You do not need any related qualifications but you should as a minimum requirement be a competent and confident DIYer. Any prior property maintenance experience is a bonus.
We need team players with excellent communication skills who will be flexible in responding to the needs of the job and who pull their weight to ensure the smooth running of the school.
Works are usually within 20 minutes of your home. Some schools require full time support and others just need 2-3 days each week. You will have full control over when you work and which jobs you choose to take on, setting your own work-life balance.
Tasks vary and might include; security, checking premises, alarm tests, supervising cleaning staff, driving, porterage, minor repairs and maintenance.
Full training provided on site for each job.
TIB Services was founded as ‘Trust in Blue’ in 2013 by Nick Orde-Powlett. The company piloted in Bromley and South East London before expanding across London and to Wigan and Warrington in April 2014. We now have a pool of over 1,100 retired police officers providing relief caretaker support across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
