Red Snapper Managed Services (RSMS) are currently looking for COVID Marshals to support future projects in the Hertfordshire area – these roles are expected to start 1st July 2021.
Red Snapper Managed Services (RSMS) is a dedicated market leader in providing professional investigation, community safety and enforcement support services to authorities working within the criminal investigation, enforcement, criminal justice and offender management sectors.
RSMS are looking to engage suitably experienced individuals to take on a role as a COVID Marshal where you will provide a professional, smart and high-visibility patrolling presence; in order to ensure the safety of local residents and that the latest government guidance is being followed.
The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to manage conflict and difficult situations. You will also be required to work with other partners within the council, the voluntary sector and police whilst providing a frontline service addressing community concerns.
You will be required to undergo training prior to deployment, delivered through our training team and there will be continuing professional development whilst deployed on the engagement. You will be provided with a professional overt uniform for patrolling.
Pay rate: £10.60 per hour PAYE
Hours and shifts: variable shifts available, covering Monday to Sunday, up to 12 hours a day.
Weekly hours between 12 – 60 hours available.
The COVID Marshal role will:
a) hold a current and valid SIA Badge (training available if you do not have one);
b) hold a full, current and endorsement free, UK Drivers Licence if required to use the Council’s or Local Authority vehicles;
c) be able to work as part of a team or on a single crew basis;
d) be an excellent communicator and team player with the ability to defuse any situation with your conflict management skills;
e) be a professional team player with high standards, who takes great pride in the work they undertake, paying attention to the smallest details;
f) be able to build professional relationships and bring everyone you meet along with you in your ideas and actions;
g) be able to work within set guidelines and procedures;
h) have the ability to adapt your approach to many different demographics in the community;
i) be able to lead by example and encourage others to follow you; and
j) be an assertive individual who can challenge unacceptable behaviour and noncompliance.
