Instructor in Police Education
ARU Police Education - Instructor in Police Education - Metropolitan Police Service
About the role:
ARU are delighted to be working with The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) to train the Police Officers of the future. In collaboration with Babcock International, we are delivering the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and both the Uniform and Detective pathways of the Degree Holder Entry Program (DHEP) in line with the new Police Education Qualification Framework (PEQF)
The PEQF aims to further professionalise policing as a career, by both recognising and raising educational standards and we are delighted and excited to be able to offer an opportunity to join our team and be involved in delivering this industry leading program.
We are looking for an Instructor to deliver police education and support the Senior Instructors with programme review and development. This post will be based in our London facility where you will work closely with colleagues from ARU and Babcock International, and a team of Metropolitan Police Service staff.
All our Instructors will need to be qualified at degree level and be working towards or willing to work towards a higher degree. Applicants should also have professional experience of policing, knowledge of policing practices and previous experience of teaching/training (teaching in a higher educational environment is desirable).
Please note, background checks will be conducted on all applicants. Successful candidates will require Non Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) level 2 (Full) clearance as you will have unsupervised access to police premises.
The ability to travel between ARU campuses is required for the role within the ARU PEQF programmes.
Excited and motivated candidates should contact Emma Brett at email@example.com for an informal discussion.
Closing date: 26 June 2022.
