Red Snapper Managed Services (RSMS) have been engaged to provide crime and incident administration support services to support Surrey Polices Contact Office (CTC) on an initial 12-month project.
RSMS provide investigation support services to law enforcement, local and central government, public and commercial sector organisations. This is an exciting opportunity to work with RSMS and Surrey Police.
The team of 12 Crime and Incident Administrators will be based at Surrey Police Headquarters in Guildford, and work five (5) days a week, 8 hours a day (incl. 30 minute break).
No two reports are the same. You’ll handle a huge variety of jobs which will require you to use an analytical approach to decide on the best recording and response to suit the situation.
The post holder will be responsible for reviewing, creating, and monitoring crime and incident reports taken by various reporting channels ensuring appropriate classifications are recorded in accordance with Home Office (HOCR), National Crime Recording Standards (NCRS) and the Victims Code of Practice (VCOP).
A Crime and Incident Administrator plays a vital role in keeping the Contact Centre functioning at its full potential and ensuring the best possible service for the Surrey public.
The role ensures crime and incidents are recorded in a timely manner and supports the Contact Centre Officer post within the Contact Centre (CTC) structure by allowing them to prioritise both emergency and non-emergency calls from the public.
Within your initial training period you will be based at the Surrey Contact Centre at the Surrey Headquarters site.
Own transport is desirable as public transport is not readily available around shift times.
You’ll need to be able to think analytically, ensuring the highest standards are applied when recording crimes and incidents.
The role is in the detail; having a keen eye for detail and the ability to analyse every piece of information, helps to build a picture of the incident.
You’ll be using various Police IT systems and databases to accurately record and gather information, whilst ensuring the highest integrity when handling sensitive information.
The role is both challenging and incredibly rewarding and offers the chance to make a real difference to the communities of Surrey.
Every person has unique experiences and we are looking for candidates to bring a range of different knowledge and skills to the role.
Previous policing experience or equivalent is preferable, extensive training will be provided to support you in your new role.
