The National Crime Agency are currently seeking Investigators from a variety of backgrounds to help the fight against serious and organised crime.

If successful, you will be joining the Criminal Justice Task Force -  a new team of NCA investigators creating a ring of steel around our borders to disrupt organised crime groups and protect communities from border threats. In this dynamic working environment you must possess the ability to react rapidly to emerging situations.

Investigations is the core crime fighting capability of the NCA.  We take an intelligence-led approach and concentrate on tackling the criminals and risks to the public which are beyond the capability or capacity of other law enforcement bodies. 

The Investigations Directorate provides a flexible, shared operational capability, designed to maximise the impact of the UK's collective resources against serious and organised crime, and in specialist support of major crime. Our teams respond to a broad range of threats, many of which also remain a responsibility for police forces and other agencies as well as private industry.

Investigator

We are seeking PIP1 / equivalent accredited Investigator  to target  the activity of Organised Crime Groups operating at the high end of high harm.

NCA Investigators investigate serious criminality; collecting and developing intelligence and evidence to build and contribute to case file preparations to prosecute offenders, utilising various investigative techniques to disrupt those that pose the highest risk to the well-being of the UK.

Senior Investigator

Salary: £40,209 - £43,705

As a Senior Investigator managing a team of PIP1 & PIP2 Investigators, you will be responsible for running pro-active investigations aimed at Organised Crime Groups operating at the high end of high harm, utilising a variety of investigative and intelligence tools.

Senior Surveillance and Investigator

As a Senior Surveillance and Investigator, you will be managing a team of PIP 1 or PIP 2 Investigators so will have experience of mentoring and developing staff. You will be required to lead a skilled team of officers who are capable of deploying as accredited surveillance officers but who will also be required to gather evidence and undertake a range of investigative roles in support of ongoing investigations.

Financial Investigator

As a Financial Investigator at Stevenage you will work alongside a proactive investigation team; focusing on upstream criminality, reaching across international borders, utilising disruption tactics and targeting financial assets to maximize the NCA’s impact by seizing their possessions and securing convictions.  

As a Financial Investigator on the outbound cash team at Chelmsford you will target organised crime groups (OCG’s) moving illicit finance across borders, investigating and  identifying the OCG responsible, seizing their financial assets and securing convictions to disrupt their activities and protect communities from border threats.
