RSR Public Safety are currently working closely with West Midlands Police to recruit for a Business Support Officer - Recruitment & Selection, working within their Employee Resourcing Team.

You’ll provide an effective and efficient service in relation to recruitment processes. You’ll work to ensure you deliver against team Key Performance Indicator targets and you’ll also understand the importance of accuracy when undertaking tasks.

This is a full time, fixed term contract for 12 months, based in Birmingham and offers a salary of £26,487 - £29,874.

Main Duties:

• Ensuring recruitment advice is accurate and processes are adhered to in line with policy.
• Composing adverts for all vacancies and uploading onto the system.
• Ensuring all elements of the Recruitment and Selection policies are open and transparent.
• Ensuring all role profiles and job adverts are accurate and kept up to date.
• Liaising with Line Managers to prepare the paper-sift matrix, ensuring scoring is fair and consistent.
• Reviewing the interview questions for all roles to ensure they are kept relevant to role, ensuring fairness across all interviewing processes.
• Be a panel member during the paper-sifting/interviewing/assessing stage of the recruitment process when required.
• Completing all administrative duties in relation to the recruitment process

Essential Requirements:

• Proficient ICT skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook and in particular Excel.
• Highly developed communications skills both verbal and written. Acts in a collaborative way that engages with people at all levels to understand their requirements and effectively respond.
• Excellent Customer service skills, to ensure a positive candidate experience
• Highly motivated & resourceful with effective organisational skills
• Possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and deliver results.
• Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage own workload

This role will be subject to vetting and the successful individual will be required to obtain and maintain these clearances.
