Assistant Chief Constable
Applications are invited for the permanent post of Assistant Chief Constable.
Gloucestershire Constabulary is looking for an innovative, motivated and visionary leader with exceptional operational credibility to be part of our successful team.
Gloucestershire is a largely rural county with an older population. It hosts a number of significant events attracting national attention throughout the year, including the National Hunt Festival at Cheltenham Racecourse and the Royal International Air Tattoo in Fairford.
We require an individual who is committed to delivering the Police and Crime Plan and improving the service that we provide to the county, our collaborative partners and to those within the Constabulary. For the first 12 months the role holder will be able to focus solely on service delivery and operational policing within Gloucestershire Constabulary.
The successful candidate will be a visible and inspiring leader with the credibility, passion and personal profile required to engage our people and deliver lasting transformational change. With an unquestionable commitment to the code of ethics, the successful candidate will be commercially astute and able to demonstrate a track record of performance at a consistently high standard.
Candidates must have attended and successfully completed the Strategic Command Course and be a serving Assistant Chief Constable or Chief Superintendent.
