Audit and Inspection Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for individuals to undertake the role of Audit and Inspection Officer within the new Continuous Improvement Team. In this new role you will be supporting the Continuous Improvement Manager in carrying out the audit and inspection function within Essex Police.
This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to respond quickly to areas of concern, identify emerging risks, and conduct assurance activity ensuring compliance and improvement.
You will be responsible for carrying out audits and inspections as directed by the Continuous Improvement Manager. You will undertake research and on-site inspections of operational policing functions, compiling evidence based reports highlighting areas of weakness.
When necessary you will conduct reality testing and targeted reviews of relevant areas of business in preparation of Her Majesty’s Inspector of Constabulary Inspections,
You will be required to attend corporate meetings, briefing chief officers on the outcomes of audits and inspections ensuring improvements and recommendations support improvement.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of managing and conducting internal audits and evidence of working to and producing reports for senior executives within a large organisation.
